Catalase - Known Benefits

Catalase’s beneficial impact on aging and lifespan has been demonstrated in several model organisms. What was not appreciated in these studies was that restoration of peroxisomal catalase might be of even greater utility. Through SKL’s ability to directly target the enzyme to this organelle, the oxidative balance that existed when the cell was young and healthy can be restored. EXT has largely achieved this goal, through its Catalase- SKL delivery and targeting strategies. The technologies continue to be refined to unlock their full potential to benefit those fields where oxidants and oxidative stress are a concern.
